I have always been in love with color. Throughout my career, I have                                                                               always been fortunate enough to work with color in so many ways.

Beginning with a BS Graphic Design from Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo.

I quickly found my home in the toy industry. As a freelancer, I worked in                                                                     toy design, character development, packaging, collateral and                                                                                         illustration. I had a long and successful career as an award winning                                                                             freelance artist for most of the major educational toy companies in the                                                                     San Francisco Bay Area.

Having lived through the transition of art from traditional to digital                                                                               media, I decided to stay with fine art. I simply loved actually working                                                                           with paints. My work has won several international awards and has                                                                             been represented in several galleries along the west coast.

In mid-career, I had the opportunity to return to school. I decided to pursue a Masters of Fine Arts - Figurative Painting at Academy of Art University. After a wonderful three years, I graduated and was immediately hired by Academy of Art University in San Francisco. I fell in love with teaching! Of course, the class I teach is Color Theory. I love sharing color concepts and design.

But the paints still call out to me. I recently returned to the easel with a new approach and enthusiasm. I am again reminded that as artists we need to be brave, willing to make mistakes. Painting can be a wonderful adventure !
